the perfect day

The PERFECT Day . What does it look like ?

The perfect day …What does this look like for you. Can you define it? Sounds easy to do, but is it? The perfect day can mean something different to everyone. Is it on the weekend, or on holiday or is it during the week? There are many things to consider which can impact what this means at any given time. Are you a student? Are you single ? Are your married or in a relationship? Are you a parent? Are you just starting your working life or getting close to completing it or somewhere in the middle? Are you an employee or a business owner or entrepreneur?

I am participating in Natalie Sisson’s 10 Day Blog Challenge and the Day 3 challenge is to define the perfect day .

Weekends are always good and so are holidays. So what about a day during the working week grind? What is the perfect day for you?

The perfect day for me looks something like this:

  • Wake up
  • Offer a prayer of thanks
  • Go for a swim
  • Have breakfast and a freshly ground espresso. Probably the meal I enjoy most of the day and the meal I can not do without.
  • Get stuck into the focus priorities for the day ( 3 - 4 max). Somewhere in the middle have another great freshly ground espresso ( I love a good coffee)
  • Lunch ( with my wife if I am working from the home office)
  • Wrap up the focus priorities and prepare for tomorrow
  • Do the school pick up
  • Reflection and Personal Development ( Accompanied with another great coffee)
  • Dinner with the family
  • Go for a walk
  • Family evening time
  • Offer a prayer of thanks
  • Off to bed

Looks easy and straight forward, but is it? If you asked me this question 5 years ago it would have been different. I am sure if you ask me this question in 5 - 10 years time from now it will also be different. Why? For a start, I will be older. I will be at a different stage of my life. Where will my kids be at in 10 years time? What will business look like in 10 years time? The world will be a different place and because of this, it may impact what the perfect day will be for me.

The Wrap Up.

You are probably wondering why try even bother to try and describe the perfect day . Well, everyone needs goals and ambitions. If you take the time to stop and reflect on what is important to you and compare it to where you actually are...then you might have a chance to make a few changes so that you can make positive impact on your life plan and maybe alter your course.
